GCSE 5-a-day Maths Practice Questions
Check out the link below to get some valuable practice in for your maths GCSE
5 questions to answer each day on a variety of topics. You should pick the level of challenge based on what grade you are hoping to achieve (by all means to try more than one level of questions!). Bring your answers into school and one of the maths staff will check them over.
Year 11 Maths Revision Homework Quizzes
Log on to the website below for a weekly homework quiz set by Mr Thorley for all Year 11 students. The quiz goes live at 9am Monday morning and then shuts down at 5pm Friday evening. There are two levels of difficulty, one foundation, one higher (anyone wanting to sit the higher GCSE should have a go at both quizzes as you need all the content for the higher paper).
Each weekend the results will be analysed and then areas for improvement shared.
Study Tuesday Support Sessions
Every Tuesday the Maths faculty runs a drop in support day. We encourage you to come along and get additional help with any aspect of your maths you may be struggling with. This may be revisiting work covered in lessons, help with your homework or simply to practice something you have already been taught. The study support sessions are also an opportunity for you to re-sit any assessments you have taken in order to improve your results. The sessions run before school starts (8am to 8:45am), during the lunch break (12:15pm to 12:55pm) and after school (3pm to 4pm). Everyone is welcome.
