About Duke of Edinburgh
Hawkley Hall High School are one of 1,269 organisations who have committed to delivering the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. This award is known as the world’s leading achievement award for young people. Across Greater Manchester there are 10,000 people taking part.
The benefits of the award are that it builds skills such as self-belief, self-confidence, an awareness of their potential and many more.
The bronze award allows students to make a difference to other people’s lives by volunteering, completing a physical activity and getting fit by feeling healthy, developing new or existing skills and planning and taking part in an adventure which is known as an expedition.
If you are interested in your child taking part in this, then please contact the school and speak to Mrs Knowles.
