Intent

To give every student the opportunity to be the best creative and imaginative artist they can, able to express themselves and appreciate the place of art in their world.

At Hawkley Hall High School we celebrate the place of art and design in the school curriculum and the world around us. We encourage and develop the imagination, creativity and artistic expression of all our students. we aim to provide a broad curriculum with a range of art experiences that engage, inspire and challenge students, to develop the knowledge and skills to invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. They make connections to other art makers from different times and cultures, expressing their opinions using subject specific vocabulary and appreciate the contribution of art and design to our culture, creativity and wealth.
